Chapter 6
~Two years later~
Remy Lebeau laid back down on the king-size bed, dressed in only a pair of
boxers. Life was great he thought, it just couldn't get better than this. Here
he was, in a beautiful home, waiting for his chere to join him in this big bed.
Remy closed his eyes and smiled, yes, life was sweet, he thought.
"Hi sugah, sleepin' without me already?" Rogue asked in her sexy
southern drawl. Was she a sight to see too, thought Remy. Rogue was dressed in
a sheer green nighty, with her beautiful hair let loose down her back. She was
gorgeous, and she was his.
"Chere, knowing you'll be joining me, how can Remy possibly sleep?" He
replied with a little twinkle in his eyes, and a very self-assured smile on his
face.
"Very cute Cajun, but ah'm tired. Let's sleep." Rogue said teasingly
while pretending to yawn.
"Remy knows you're just teasing. Why don't my belle fille come and join
Remy on the bed, and Remy will show you some other activities we can do besides
sleeping?" He suggested as he attempted to use his charms on her.
Rogue walked to Remy as he sat
up. She put her arms around his neck, and he could just smell the lavender
scent of shampoo in her hair. She drew his face towards hers as if she was
about to kiss him. Just as her lips were about to touch his, she whispered
softly , "Cajun, you ain't got much to show." As the words finally
sunk in and he realized what she said, Remy grabbed the giggling Rogue, and
flung her to bed. "I'll show you what this Cajun has!" He cried as he
started tickling her.
Rogue was laughing so hard, as
she attempted unsuccessfully to get Remy off of her.
"Ah'm kidding! Ah'm
kidding! Stop! Stop! I surrender!" She yelled between her fits of
laughter.
He finally stopped, and now, Rogue
was lying on the bed with Remy's body pressed against hers. He stared down at
those beautiful gorgeous green eyes of hers, wondering how he could he have
been so lucky to have such a beautiful lady like her in his life. Everything
was perfect, he thought as he leaned in and kissed those luscious lips of hers.
"Sorry to spoil the party,
Mr. Lebeau, but Rogue comes with me now." Someone said from behind them.
Gambit and Rogue both jerked up
simultaneously to see who had just made the threat, and they saw Nathaniel
Essex, Gambit's one-time employer, and also known as Sinister.
"What the hell are you
doing here, homme? GET OUT!" Remy screamed as he leapt up in front of
Rogue and got into defense mode.
"Come now Remy. You don't
actually think you deserve all this now do you? After what you've done, someone
like you don't get this. Come now, Rogue, you don't want to be with a murderer
now do you?" Sinister asked as his red eyes glowed with evil.
"No, ah don't. Mr. Sinister."
Rogue said as she got up, and walked towards Sinister.
"NO! Rogue, don't go with
him!" Remy screamed as he grabbed her arm and tried to pull her close to
him.
"Let go." Rogue
simply stated as she whipped her head around to face him. Remy couldn't
recognize her as he looked into her eyes. Her usual bright and charming green
eyes, had no life in them at all. It was as if she was under some sort of
control, Remy thought as he desperately searched her face for some life.
"You cannot go with him,
Rogue. He's evil. I will not let him hurt you." Remy said desperately,
attempting to snap her out of whatever trance she was in.
"Ah told you to let
go!" She screamed, as she grabbed him and flung him across the room
without much effort due to her incredible strength.
Rogue continued to walk towards
Sinister, and as she was finally by his side, Sinister said, "Remy Lebeau,
you are a fool, aren't you? You'll never have her, she belongs to me now, as
you once did. However, the difference is, she will never be able to break free
from me. She is eternally in my servitude."
Remy had hit the wall pretty
hard, and as he was struggling to get up, he saw that they were already gone. "No,
no no no NO! You're not going to take her away! ROGUE!!" He screamed.
"Hey, hey, wake up! Wake
up, handsome." Someone said as Remy felt the person tugging at him. He
opened his eyes, and found a pair of blue eyes staring at him. It was a dream,
it was only a dream. He thought. It felt so real though. Sinister seemed so
real.
"You had a bad dream it
seemed. You okay, darling?" The girl asked, as Remy tried to focus his
eyes on her. He didn't really remember who she was, let alone trying to recall
her name. "Yeah, I'm fine. Look, Remy has to go now." He said, as he
got up and started to get dressed.
"But,.." the girls
said a little in shock.
"Sorry, I have something
to check on." He simply said, as he grabbed his keys and left the motel
room.
Remy got on his motorcycle, and
even though all the thoughts in his head weren't making sense, the only thing
he knew for sure was that he had to find Rogue, and make sure she was alright.

~Same Night~
"REMY!" Rogue
screamed as she practically jumped out of her bed with her eyes wide awake. She
looked around at the pitch-dark room. She finally realized that she was in her
bed, in the house that she had recently bought for her and her child. Okay,
Sinister did not have Remy tied up. Sinister was not coming after her. She was
safe in her home. Remy's eyes though, they showed so much pain and suffering. He
needed her. NO! It was just a dream, Rogue thought.
But, but it felt so real though, was he in trouble? She questioned. What does
Sinister have planned for him? Not again, she thought. In her dream, she felt
that whatever he had planned for Remy, might mean Remy's life. I can't let that
happen, she thought as she started to panic. I have to do something.. She
thought.
"Momma!"
The sound of her child broke her train of thought. The voice had come from the
baby monitor. Rogue immediately got up and flew to her child's nursery next
door. "Jeremy, are you okay?" As she swept the boy into her arms and
examined his face to see if he was fine.
The little boy looked into her
eyes, with his beautiful green on black eyes. The little boy pursed his lips
together, and studied his mother's face. Finally he said, "J'remy fine. Momma
okay?"
Rogue looked at her little boy
and sighed. It seems that Jeremy was already developing a bit of his father's
empathy. "Momma's fine too, baby boy." She replied as she held the
boy close.
"Ah don't think your father is though."
